General Discriptions:

 

Setup:

            Truss rod adjustment, intonation check and adjustment, fret board cleaning, fret polishing, saddle height adjustment, nut slot adjustments, tightening of mechanical hardware, pickup height adjustment, restring.

 

Fret leveling and polishing:

            Level all frets, re-crown, and polish to an extremely high luster. Makes strings bend easier and smoother, eliminates buzzing and conditions surface for longer life. Nut rework is included.

 

Re-fret:

            Remove one or all frets and install new fret wire specific to your guitars needs and your playing preference. Perform fret leveling and polishing. Complete setup is included.

           

Nut replacement:

            Remove old nut and replace with material of your choice. Cut, shape, polish and slot nut to precise specifications.

 

Nut rework:

            Adjust slot width, slot depth, overall height and polish.

 

Saddle replacement:

            Remove old saddle and replace with material of your choice. Cut, shape, polish and intonate saddle.

 

Saddle rework:

            Adjust string height and intonation if possible.

 

Bridge re-glue or replacement:

            Re-glue the lifting or broken bridge back down to the soundboard. This is performed by first removing the lifting bridge, preparing the surfaces and gluing it back down. A new replacement or a custom, made to order bridge is available at additional cost.

 

Broken headstock repair:

            Glue headstock back together, sand, touch-up lacquer and buff.

 

Tuning machine replacement:

            Remove and replace with tuning machines of your choice.

 

Under saddle or bridge  pickup:

            Install pickup under an acoustic guitar saddle or bridge by drilling a small hole down from the saddle slot and drilling to install endpin jack.

 

Bridge truss installation:

         The JLD Bridge Doctorâ is installed under the bridge of an acoustic guitar to flatten a bellied top. This device provides better bridge alignment and greater strength to resist constant string tension on bridge, top and bracing. Tone and volume may be greatly enhanced.  

 

Pickup replacement:

            Remove old pickup and replace it with a new one of the same frame and wiring. Any routing or modifications due to frame size or wiring will be extra.

 

Switch replacement:

            Remove old switch and replace it with a new one of the same frame and wiring.

 

Potentiometer replacement:

            Remove old pot and replace it with a new one of the same frame and wiring.

 

Jack replacement:

            Remove old jack and replace it with a new one of the same frame and wiring.

 

Tremolo installation:

            Install a tremolo system, such as the Floyd Roseâ, on an electric guitar. This irreversible process includes modification of the body to accept the tremolo bridge system and the headstock to mount locking nut.
